Blue Ridge Eats — Website Redesign & Launch

Prepared by Drake Ryan
Obsidian Web Co.
Proposal #2026-0042 · Valid 14 days

01 · The project in one paragraph

Blue Ridge Eats is a family restaurant on Main Street losing dinner reservations to a cluttered, slow website that sends customers to a PDF menu instead of a booking widget. This project replaces the existing site with a fast, custom-built Astro site that puts tap-to-call + OpenTable booking above the fold, indexes the menu as real text, and ranks for "lynchburg restaurants" + three related local queries.

02 · What's in scope

  • 6-page custom site (Home, Menu, About, Reservations, Gallery, Contact)
  • Hand-coded Astro + Tailwind — no page builder, no plugin rot
  • OpenTable reservation integration (sticky mobile button + header link)
  • Plain-text menu synced from a Google Doc you control
  • Google Business Profile optimization (description, categories, 12 photos)
  • Local SEO schema (LocalBusiness, Restaurant, Menu, FAQ)
  • GA4 + Microsoft Clarity analytics setup
  • Lighthouse 95+ mobile performance (contractually guaranteed)
  • 90-day post-launch support — unlimited small edits

03 · What's NOT in scope

  • Food photography (recommend DIY iPhone + natural light; shoot guide included)
  • Copy for more than the 6 pages listed above
  • Video production or embedded video
  • Online ordering / delivery integration (separate quote if desired)
  • Ongoing monthly maintenance after day 90 (retainer available separately)

04 · Timeline

  1. Week 1 — Kickoff call, brand intake, competitor review, sitemap approval
  2. Week 2 — Home + menu page mockups (Figma), 1 revision round
  3. Week 3 — Remaining 4 pages designed, 1 revision round
  4. Week 4 — Full build on staging URL, content entry, QA
  5. Week 5 — Launch day: DNS cutover, analytics live, GBP updated

Total: 5 weeks from signed proposal + deposit to live site. If anything blocks us (waiting on approvals, photos, etc.) the timeline pauses — no hidden extension fees.

05 · Investment

Professional tier website build
$2,200
Google Business Profile optimization
$300
Menu content migration (~40 items)
$0 · included
Total
$2,500

No hourly estimates. No "contingency buffer." No surprise invoices. The quote you sign is the amount you pay, so long as scope doesn't change.

06 · Payment schedule

50% deposit
$1,250
Due on proposal signature. Kicks off week 1.
50% on launch
$1,250
Due when the site goes live at your domain.

Paid via Stripe (card or ACH). ACH saves 2.9% — if you pay by bank transfer I pass the savings back at invoice time.

07 · Guarantees

  • Lighthouse 95+ mobile at launch. If we miss it, I fix it before invoice #2.
  • You own everything — domain in your name, code in your GitHub, Vercel hosting on your account.
  • 90-day unlimited edits post-launch. Small changes free; anything requiring a new page at $75.
  • Zero lock-in. If we stop working together, every login + credential gets handed over in 24h.

08 · Next step

Reply to the proposal email or reach out directly. On confirmation, I'll send a Stripe link for the deposit and we schedule week 1. Questions are free — always.
